Former Hip-Hop Bodyguard Prepares Film Based On Her Experiences In The Gay Community

Former production manager for Queen Latifah and body guard for musicians DMX, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, and Aaliyah, Merle "Conscious" Soden has announced a casting call for her upcoming film Getting Unstuck which is based on her personal experiences with drugs, sex, and deadly diseases.

Before she became successful in her career in entertainment, Conscious experienced firsthand the negatives of abusing drugs which ultimately led to her contracting HIV. Through this film she hopes to spread awareness to the lesbian community that they are sustainable to contracting the same diseases that the straight community can

"I think it helps lesbians who really need to wake up, and number two it will help lesbians to stop thinking that they are exempt, if you have ever had sex with a man whether you are actively involved in a heterosexual or homosexual relationship, you will not be categorized as a lesbian. So if you become a case of HIV while being with a woman, but have previously had sex with a man, or go out and have sex with a man, then you will fall into the heterosexual column. These numbers help to make lesbians remain unaware of how prevalent this issue is within our own community."

Originally the film was supposed to star rapper Eve but unfortunately the film was never completed. A new casting call has been announced for February 17th in Hialeah, Florida on 2520 W. 78th Street at 2:30 P.M. Film producers are seeking 4 men, ages 18-25, and 2 women, ages 20-40.
